Swimming

Paragraph 1 Breastroke! In swimming there are a lot of strokes, one of them is breastroke. Breastroke is pretty simple once you have got it. Breastroke kick looks like a chicken, starfish and soldier. The stroke should be nice and smooth, so you should keep your pace even. When you glide you should pause for three seconds underwater (unless you are doing ‘granny’ breaststroke). Paragraph 2 Freestyle! Use your arms in a circle motion because it will make you move faster and otherwise it won't be called freestyle it will be called streamline kick.:))) Freestyle is a little bit harder than breaststroke. Make sure you do long and straight arms. With freestyle you need to be able to keep you pace. Paragraph 3 Backstroke! For backstroke you need to be on your back and kick. For this one you also use your hands in a circle motion, but this time you are obviously on your back. For backstroke you can go nice and smooth. You need to look up at the roof, clouds or the shelter of the pool (as you swim), this will help a lot because if you look in front of you your neck can start to really hurt and you might even swallow some water!. I hope you learnt something new and enjoyed reading more about how to swim.

  1. Hello Liv,
your story was amazing and very descriptive.
It had a lot of punctuation in it.
Remember next time to put your writing in paragraphs.
